it's a family garden

our team is family

We have an amazing team full of caring people that love sharing adventures with children as they learn, play and grow.

Kimberly Richmond, TLG Director

We are honored to have Kim as the Director at The Learning Garden.  She is originally from California, is married to her awesome husband Tim, and they have two grown children.  She has a wealth of life experience having grown up in a military family as well as having her own military family.  She has been able travel the world and bring all of that experience to us and your children.  Kim has worked in the childcare field for the last seven years.  She loves all age groups as she is really just a big kid herself.  Kim is easy going with a passion for helping others learn and develop into their best self.

Angie Champion, TLG Pedagogical Director

Angie is a mom to three busy school-aged children.  She loves animals and has several pets which include a dog, four cats, and a mouse; all of which she rescued.  She grew up in Norfolk, NE and moved to Omaha in 1993.  She is a vegetarian, loves to read, watch mysteries, take walks, and go on trips.  Angie is an advocate for animal welfare and fosters for the Nebraska Humane Society.  She has four great passions that drive her life:  her faith, her family, her friends, and advocating for the welfare of children and animals.  Her drive to advocate for the welfare of children and animals began at a very early age as her education and life experiences reflect.  She loves to listen and get to know people.  She has a true love for caring and kind souls.  She has worked in the human services and child care field her entire life and has been fortunate to have had lots of great opportunities along the way.  She can’t wait to meet you and your children at The Learning Garden!

Kay Cordova, TLG Assistant Director

Children have always been the center of Kay’s life.  She and her husband were blessed with six wonderful children who have always kept our life crazy, but filled with so much love.  Kay worked professionally as a social worker for may years until she chose to be a stay at home mom.  While being at home with her own children over the years, she also provided daycare for several different families.  Kay feels privileged to have had, and continue to have, the opportunity to watch children learn and grow through each stage of life.  She has been everything from a basketball coach, to a room parent, to a book fair coordinator, and through it all, she has learned children are life’s little miracles.  Kay truly looks forward to meeting you and your little miracles at The Learning Garden!
